ROK Sonoma presented by Sanzaru is throwing the white flag for the second to last race of the 2019 season on September 14th & 15th

Master ROK to be the Feature Class

Race #7 of the 2019 ROK Sonoma presented by Sanzaru race series. Tic Tac Toe in the Reverse National track layout will require every driver's concentration at this race. The Master ROK class will be the VP "Feature Class" this weekend with the winner taking home $100 "Sanzaru Bucks."

Eric Molinatti leads the Master ROK class in points, but after the drop, John Baldinger is only 70 points behind him. Breidinger will need every point possible to defend his Master ROK Championship title and a chance to win a spot at ROK the Rio.

Sanzaru Karting Series is proud to announce that we have a lively Open 100cc Senior & Masters class (ROK or KA) lined-up for our last two races of the season, Sept 14th-15th and Oct 19th-20th. To ensure a highly competitive field, we will be running the two age-groups as one class, with everyone at 380 lbs. There are already 6-8 entries confirmed for the upcoming races. *As a special incentive* *3* sets of Bridgestone tires will be given away at each of these races, on a raffle-basis exclusively to entrants in this class for 6 sets total! We hope to see these two races set up this class to be strong for 2020! Kart #s for the Senior 100cc class is 700-799, for the Master 100cc class are 800-899. Series Points: For all classes the best 7 out of 8 races to be counted toward the class Championship. Points from the lowest scoring race out of 8 will be dropped aka thrown out. Race 8 cannot be dropped. A DQ from the Main event for a driver conduct situation cannot be used as a throwaway race. If any competitor completes one green flag lap in a PreMain race or Main Event, they will be considered a finisher in the Main and get at least last place points. A driver must compete in a minimum of 5 entire races to qualify for year-end Championships. All 2019 ROK Sonoma Champions will win a free entry to ROK the Rio in Las Vegas Oct 28th-Nov 2nd. If you have purchased your race entry already you will be reimbursed by ROK.

REMEMBER: Race #8 has been rescheduled from Oct 12th-13th to Oct 19th-20th. Race 8 cannot be dropped.

Awards Banquet: The date of the 2019 ROK Sonoma presented by Sanzaru Awards Banquet will be December 7th and is being held at The Key Room in Novato across the street from the Courtyard by Marriott.

The race weekend will start with a Practice day on Saturday. All ROK Sonoma classes will be able to get in as many as nine practice sessions during the day. Practice starts at 8:10 am and runs to 5:00 pm. Registration will open at 6:45 am. Practice is open to all drivers who are up to normal racing speeds with a kart that meets current karting safety specifications. Cost is $60.

Sunday's race day begins at 8:10 am with a quick round of practice for the six race groups followed by a five-lap timed Qualifying session, two Pre-Mains giving Micro/Mini 10 laps and remaining classes 12 laps. The Main will have Micro/Mini 15 laps Senior & Master Shifters 25 laps and 18 laps for the remaining classes. Registration opens at 6:45 am. Race Entry is $110 for the first class, $75 for the second. $15 for transponder rental if needed, $250 Full-size Bridgestones, $235 Cadet Bridgestones, $85 5 gals VP fuel, $21 for Motul oil, $10 for all crew and spectators, and kids under 12 are $5.
